Vive Health celebrated its 10th birthday on Saturday October 24th 2015. From humble beginnings as a health food store with just three staff members it has grown to include an online store and a natural health clinic. Now a team of 12, there are qualified and experienced natural health practitioners in the team; there’s a counsellor, an acupuncturist, a massage therapist and a life coach just to name a few.
What the Vive Health co-founders had to say about hitting this key milestone:
Matt Steinacher, naturopath:
“I really love that we have remained true to our original philosophy, plan and desires for our health food store and clinic. Our aim has always been to provide organic healthy foods and supplements with professional advice. This continues today and will keep going for as long as both Marilyn [Lemaire] and I are the owners of this wonderful business.”
Marilyn Lemaire, Masters of Herbal Medicine:
“It is rewarding to have a store and clinic where staff are qualified to assist customers with their health queries. Preventable diseases such as Type 2 diabetes and obesity are putting an enormous strain on our health care system and being involved in an industry that encourages and supports people to be the healthiest they can be is enormously rewarding.”
In-store birthday celebrations
The in-store birthday celebration was a resounding success, with supplier samples and tastings from some of the most popular names in health foods: Amazonia, Walter’s Artisan Breads, Kitz Living Food, Kehoe’s Kitchen, Coyo Coconut Yoghurts, Angove Wines, Gypsy Rose Natural Hair Care, Therapeutic Gourmet Muesli and Tweed Valley Ice-cream.
In addition to the regular Saturday discount,, Vive Health offered a special store-wide and online discount of 20% and saw many loyal customers pop in to take advantage of the discount savings.
Vive Health also ran a successful Facebook giveaway that saw a Neoflam ecofriendly cookware set valued at over $600 being given away. Out of 300 entries, there could only be one winner and that was Kirsty Brunsden (pictured with her prize below).
There were also prizes awarded to the “oldest” presented Vive Card on the day (joint winners: Robyn Saultry and Sally Walvin) and the most ClubVive Appearances (winner: Prema Lohse)
