About Funky Sock Co:
Everything we create is made with one goal in mind: to make the best quality, environmentally friendly and most fun socks that you will ever wear.
We are incredibly motivated to create socks that empower self expression, individuality and most importantly fun!
Our sock designs aren't one artwork copied and pasted all over (like every other sock company out there). Our in-house designer @binx_designs spends hours designing the entire sock top to bottom - This ensures our socks are unique and have personality - With designs such as Oral Hygiene Beavers, Disco Sloths, Hotdogs in Buns and Inconvenienced Giraffes it's easy to see why we stand out from the rest. Our effort and detail is above the rest.
We are incredibly passionate about the environment ensuring we only have only used the highest quality of materials and minimal environmental impact along the way. We use:
- OEKO-TEX 100 STANDARD Sustainable Bamboo.
- FSC certified cardboard packaging with no plastic hooks or kimble barbs. We use bamboo fibre to join our bamboo socks to the packaging.
- Non-toxic dyes and non-toxic inks.
- All orders are sent in 100% combustible eco-mailers made from corn starch and FSC certified cardboard mailer boxes.
Bamboo is an extremely durable and resilient fibre. At the same time, bamboo feels incredibly soft and lovely to the touch. When compared in studies to cotton and polyester, it has been found to be stronger, have better moisture wicking properties and better moisture absorption than the more commonplace Western materials.
Funky Sock Co Bamboo Socks are:
- Supremely soft, silky and luxurious to the touch.
- Hypoallergenic - Bamboo fibres do not irritate the skin.
- Breathable and thermo-regulating - Keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter.
- Absorbs more moisture than cotton.
- UV protective – Protects you from the sun’s rays in comfort.
Funky Sock Co is operated on the Gold. Coast Queensland. We regularly attend local markets and also Finders Keepers markets in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. We have supported many fund raising campaigns including Livin’, MOB (Men of Business) and Socks for Docs day at Griffith University to name a few.
We haven’t just sourced a factory in China or Turkey - We have visited our factories several times to ensure ethical manufacturing practices are upheld and all certificates of compliance are up to date.
